Internet Privacy

1. What risks would be if you underestimate risks of privacy on the Internet? 
  Parents are still largely unaware of the risks their children take on the net, even though     75% of teenagers use the net at home, says a report. The truth is, you are capable of more than you think you are (and if you're a woman, double that!), which includes your ability to manage risk and to intervene in the event that plans start derailing.

2. Please evaluate yourself if you are risking of losing your privacy on the Internet.
   Someday a stranger will read my e- mail, rummage through my instant messages without 
   my permission or scan the Web sites I've visited - maybe even find out that I read this story. "Whether we know it or not, we have all become citizens of the Digital Age. As such we need to take responsibility for conduct, our safety, and our privacy.

3. What would you do to balance “privacy” and “disclosure” on the Internet?
  Privacy is the ability of an individual or group to seclude themselves, or information about themselves, and thereby express themselves selectively. But, in the field of computer security, independent researchers often discover flaws in software that can abused  to cause unintended behaviour, these flaws are called vulnerabilities.

The Truman Show Comment:

After watched The Truman Show, I think so scary of this movie related to the privacy. I feel the one person of privacy is so important. If someone have not a privacy, when do anything must felt uncomfortable. That why the privacy is so important. Compare with Internet privacy, this is also important. If someone has compromised the social networking such as Facebook, Line, Twitter... of us ,the information will be used and disorderly change such as profile picture and private data will be awareness.

It seems that the young people like to share their own daily life online ,but if they are Truman ,they must don’t  want to share their life anymore. Truman was so poor in the movie due to he knew nothing that his life was watched by numerous audiences. Privacy is much more important for the individuals than we think. Without privacy, we are just like being naked in front of others, showing every thing to people around us. Sharing something to our friends or family with a properly way is common ,but sharing too much individual things on the Internet may become harmful. Therefore, we should protect not only our own privacy but also others’. Before we post something private about other people ,we should have their permission first.
